Why Drift Catch is shaped differently

Most freelancer tools track what you did. Drift Catch tracks what's drifting — before it eats your weekend.

Built for solo freelancers, not agencies.

Most tools log work. Drift Catch counts what’s over scope.

Revisions tracked per deliverable, with limits set in the contract. The fifth round of "just one more tweak" doesn’t get buried in your inbox — it gets flagged.

Stop Scope Creep With Change Orders

Most tools focus on invoicing after the work is done. Drift Catch is built for collect-before-you-start workflows.

Connect Stripe, and the change order can’t move forward until the client has paid. No "I’ll send the wire Monday" emails for work you’ve already done.

App to Require Payment Before Work

Most tools forecast revenue. Drift Catch forecasts when scope creep will pay you back.

Change order forecasting turns scope drift into a dollar figure before the client signs the next round. We built it because scope creep is the silent revenue leak in freelance work.

Common questions

What does Drift Catch do?
Drift Catch keeps a freelance project tied to what the client actually agreed to. You send a scoped proposal, the client e-signs it, and from that moment the scope is locked to exactly what they signed. Anything they ask for beyond it becomes a change order they approve before the work starts — so extra work gets paid for instead of absorbed.
Do my clients need an account to sign or pay?
No. Your client gets a link, opens it in their browser, and can review the scope, e-sign, and pay without creating an account or downloading anything. The fewer steps between them and signing, the sooner your project starts.
Is an electronic signature legally binding?
For everyday freelance agreements, an electronic signature is generally recognized the same as an ink one under the U.S. E-SIGN Act and state UETA laws, and under Canada’s PIPEDA Part 2. Drift Catch captures a simple electronic signature together with a timestamped record of who signed and when, so what was agreed has a document behind it rather than two conflicting memories. This is general information, not legal advice.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. You can set up projects, track scope and revisions, and get your client to sign off on the free plan. Paid plans add invoicing, recurring retainers, change orders, and taking payment in-app. See the pricing page for what each plan includes.
Can I get paid through Drift Catch?
On the Pro plan you can connect your own Stripe account and collect payment on invoices and change orders inside Drift Catch — including requiring a change order to be paid before that extra work opens. On the free and Solo plans you still create and send the invoice, then collect through whatever you already use.
What happens to my data if I stop using it?
You can export your data and delete your account whenever you want. Drift Catch runs no third-party trackers and needs no cookie banner, and your clients’ details are never sold or shared. The work you put in stays yours to take with you.
